Pasting Images to Office Word

Hi, I'm having trouble pasting images from google images on Chrome to Word Mac. When I try to copy them on Chrome and hit Cmmd-V it just pastes the URL instead of the image. I'm forced to go into Paste Special and choose 'Paste as Picture' each time I want to paste an Image. Any suggestions/solutions?

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Instead of using Chrome, Firefox allows you to right click on the image and choose Copy Image. That way you have an image on the clipboard for pasting.

Alternatively right or option click on the image in Chrome and you should be able to copy image instead of copy image address.
